Ein Tag im Februar /// A day in February
I finally get to write a post for 12 von 12 again - also because the weather started sunny today and I had good light for taking photos! This is why I took my self made board for photography, put it near a window and pictured everything I did today on it. I really was eager to have more light after all those dark and rainy days. You might think my pics are monotonous, but I like them. Spring can come now, I've had enough of the winter. Have fun reading and watching!
Lecker!
- I had my breakfast after bringing the kids to school and kindergarten: self made granola (Fee gave me the recipe but I don't know if she blogged about it yet) with yogurt and mango. Tasty!
- Made my list for the day (I can't function without lists and plans, I'm too chaotic)... Only my mug is "grumpy" today, I'm not! ;-)
- Rework the Creativeworld / Paperworld fairs. My blogpost about it is almost finished, I think you can read it at the beginning of next week.
- Organized a little my washi tape and bakers twine box - it is too much stuff in it or the box is too small (or I have too much stuff)...
- I prepared lunch: a dish from my childhood today, green beans with tomatoes, onions and a little bit of garlic, topped with sour cream. Sometimes I cook some beef or chicken in it. Tasty!
- Testing my new pens while the food was cooking - I like these pastel colors a lot, now I only have to better my blending technique.
- Picked up the kids, ate lunch, not work is on the plan: I'm working on an assignment and try after that to put some "life" on my blog site "graphic design". I'm not finished yet, you can see it soon. It's a lot to do, so a little chocolate helps ;-). Did you know I have my own graphic design business (wedding stationery, flyer, business cards, logos...)?
- I'm amazed about the creativity and fantasy of my kids, over and over again: my son made himself these road signs and a long paper street with a junction yesterday, even if he has a big street carpet and a lot of road signs. The best toys are obviously those self made!
- We'll celebrate a kid's birthday next week, so you can already see our theme ;-). I'm starting collecting table decoration and playing material while I'm cleaning up the house...
- And another birthday preparation: these pens will play a role, too! You can see which one in a special birthday party blog post in two weeks!
- I found these color cards I brought from the building supplies store when cleaning up and I finally have an idea what to craft from them. A blogpost will follow!
- The postman brought me a parcel - I always wanted to have some Chelsea boots and I finally found some. They have quite bold colors, but I like them. My feet are quite small, so it's not always easy to find nice shoes. And now my daughter's feet are the same size as mine, and she's just 10 years old. I fear she will like these shoes, too... Anyway, spring can come now!
Well, I'm going to buy some food in a minute, we have friends visiting over the weekend - an we'll have the first BBQ of the year! Have a nice evening and a great weekend! And don't forget: the next round #nicelittlethingsaround comes up on Sunday afternoon (5 p.m. German time), not Mondays anymore! Are you in?
